The Billboard Project: Choose Veg

Picture
Thousands upon thousands of Las Vegas locals see a message of compassion on their daily commutes. Thousands upon thousands of Las Vegas tourists will view a pro-vegetarian message of respect on their way to The Strip.

They did it in Michigan. They did it in Utah. Now we're doing it in Nevada. Vegas Veg* worked with Mercy For Animals (MFA) to produce  pro-veg billboards in the Las Vegas Valley.

Picture
One Vegas billboard features a puppy and a piglet and asks, "Why love one but eat the other?" In another billboard, a kitten and a chick are shown with the same question, "Why love one but eat the other?" The billboards also include Mercy For Animals’ vegetarian website, chooseveg.com and the Vegas Veg* website, vegasveg.com.

The billboards should be seen by hundreds of thousands of views daily. Viewers are encouraged to eat less meat, go vegetarian, or go vegan. The billboards are a peaceful and effective method of saving animals’ lives, slowing climate change, and improving human health.

Nine billboards are located throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The locations are near:
  • Jones & Flamingo
  • Washington & the 15
  • Valley View & Twain
  • Lake Mead & Losee/ the 15
  • Charleston & the 95
  • Desert Inn & Highland
  • Las Vegas Boulevard & Cheyenne
  • Decatur & Tropicana
  • Arville & Russel
The billboards were funded by generous donations from Vegas Veg* members.
